Judgemental Idiots - Opinions clashing and the bashing

Hey folks! It's been awhile since I ranted! And be prepared for a WHOLE bunch of rants because I cranked up some things that annoy the hell out of me lately. This entry is geared toward opinions clashing and the bashing.

Everything in my blog is kept anonymous for privacy and safety reasons. Don't like it? Too bad cause it's my blog. =)

Alright what is the deal with all the bashing? Why can't people accept that each of us are individuals with different views of the world? Why can’t we agree to disagree and move on with our lives? Seriously, why can’t we? Are people that prideful and arrogant that they think their egotistical minds are always the correct choice so they must bash someone to prove how “wrong” they are?

Fiction bashing. How stupid can this become? “OMG your character is a Mary-sue! I hate Mary-sues!” First off, the term “Mary-sue” was a character that was extremely perfect in every way and was never hated. That does not mean if a person’s character has an unusual trait they automatically equal a “Mary-sue”, and even if they did, who the hell cares? It’s their character not yours. And I doubt your character is even better, so get off your high horse and leave people alone regarding the characters they create. It’s none of your business what they do with their characters. And this also applies to stories. If they are writing or drawing for themselves then they don’t care if you have an issue with it.

Being a loli/shoto-con equals pedophilia? By that logic everyone who killed in a video game are murderers. It’s FICTION which is NOT real, can’t they get it through their heads? A lolli/shot-con is a person who likes lolis/shotos in an anime regardless of the reason why. Lolis/shotos is a term from Japan given to characters who have a child-like appearance. So if you like the appearance of these characters, there are people who consider you a pedophile. How stupid is this? Are people that deranged they can’t separate fiction from reality? What are you going to go to every door of a loli-con and arrest them for liking a fictional character? The police will laugh at you! That’s how stupid you are sounding. By your logic I’m also a murderer for killing people in video games, an animal-abuser for stomping turtles in Mario, a terrorists for blowing up buildings in Command & Conquer, A bully for beating up people in Tekken, a psychopath for loving the demonic world of Silent Hill, a cannibal-supporter for liking werewolves, zombies and vampires, An evil person because I love watching horror movies where scary things happen to people. Look at the horrible person I am, take me away to jail for liking fictional things! Better jump off that high horse of yours because I bet all these apply to you too so shut up about fictional things that have nothing to do with reality. You are a sick person if you can’t separate fiction from reality.

Next topic! Religion differences. First off there are more than two sides to religion, there are least nine different kinds in this world so instead of arguing who’s right and who’s wrong, why can’t we just all shut up and live our own lives? So what if someone posts atheist posts? If they aren’t bashing then who cares? So what if a Christian posts about not believing in certain rights? As long as they’re not bashing then let them be. Yes people are going to disagree with someone else’s life but that’s not your problem what they think. Get over it and leave the person alone. You are a hypocrite if you preach “acceptances!” when you can’t’ accept someone may not agree with what you say, so you bash that person. Bashing to end bashing is hypocritical regardless of who you are. If you are going to rip someone’s life away from them because you don’t like it, then you are no better than the ones you dislike. Live and let live even if you disagree with something. If you can’t do that, then you are a hypocrite.

                “OMG you’re sick!” for what? Just cause people like a certain fetish? There’s thousands of fetishes in the world and some I do find extremely creepy, but to each their own. And I bet your hands aren’t clean either for liking some stuff too. Sure I agree fetishes should be kept private instead of social sites, but don’t condemn them if they aren’t harming anyone with their fetishes. Maybe I should go into your closet and find all your dirty secrets calling you sick too, like that? Then leave people alone.

                “OMG look at that man letting his baby watch him play video games! What a bad parent!” Seriously? You’re judging a man because he is playing one video game with his kid? Do you live with this man to know for a fact he’s a bad parent? No, you do not. You are looking at a picture online of this man knowing absolutely nothing but what you see. There is no solid evidence this will harm the baby, and it’s a screen that’s located everywhere, so are you going to bash someone who goes into Walmart’s technology aisle letting their baby stare at all those televisions screens? Are you going to scream “child-abuse!” when a parents lets their baby stare at all those television screens in Walmart as they pass by them? That’s exactly what you’re doing to that man in the picture. For all you know he could be an active parent that showers his child with love. So he lets his baby look at a screen? Then every parent in existence is bad if they let their kid look at a screen.

                “OMG you like that? That is so overrated!” So? Just because something is very popular doesn’t mean I’m going to stop liking it. I don’t give a shit if you hate it, but I don’t draw because of you, I draw because of me. And I’m not going to stop liking something because you hate how popular it is. Get over it and move on with your life. Cause no matter where you go there will ALWAYS be something overly popular or “overrated” and I bet you’re going to throw a tantrum about that too, bashing on people who like it. I could care less if someone likes something I hate because it’s not them I dislike, and I know how to ignore things. It’s called being mature to ignore what you hate than going to the fans and bashing on them. Maybe you should stop going on the internet if you are going to hate on everything that’s “overrated”.

                So whether it be beliefs, likes/dislikes, religion views, lifestyles, fetishes, or whatever makes us different, people should NOT bash it. Why? Because you’d be a bully and an ass for bashing on something that doesn’t concern you when that person is not harming anyone. I could care less what they like, and I will let them live because I know I want the same treatment. If they aren’t harming another then why does it matter? And don’t give me this “You’re just supporting so-in-so!” No, I’m supporting the right to live in peace. Fiction is fiction and opinions are opinions, they don’t require you to be an abusive jerk. Fiction will NEVER be real so if you are enjoying something made-up without going into the world and doing it. Fiction is merely entertainment. And if you can’t accept opinions how do you suppose people will accept your opinions? If you say someone’s opinion is “worthless” then so is yours. So everyone jump off your high-horses or gladly let me beat you off with my bat because I’m sick of people bashing others because they have a different opinion to what is “right” in the world. There is no “right” nor “wrong” in the world when it comes to opinions of lifestyles. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty by the law, and I don’t see myself going to jail because my love of fictional things or how I live my life when it’s not harming anyone. And I hope you enjoy laughter because you will get laughed at by the police if you try to take someone to jail over opinions and fiction. I’m laughing at you now.
