Goody-goody little two-shoes

We all have met or least been called a "goody-goody" but what does it actually mean? Well most would say it's a "good person" and leave it at that, but in my opinion they are wrong. A goody-goody is different than a regular good person, they are in a group all their own.

A goody-goody are usually those people who can never do any wrong, they are like "perfection". They often call others out on their mistakes trying to "fix" them. Busy-bodies you could say they are; always up in someone's buisness where they don't belong. They wish to help but their helping is making things worse by pointing out a person's flaws when the goody-goody has flaws of their own, even if they dont' see it. Most times they're attitudes are sickening sweet which is annoying to many. They are usually the bratty teacher's pet in school that always brings the teacher a gift, has straight-A's, and the inforcer of the rules. A Lawful Good personality to put it simply. For those that don't know that term, it is a being who lives by the law and will fight against sinful actions regardless how small or large.

A good example of their personality is going back to the teacher's pet in school. This person sits up front, always happy and shushing any others who whisper in the class because the goody-goody wants to hear the teacher speak. The person will also turn in those whisperors to the teacher to be punished because they did wrong by whispering in class. The goody-goody will also turn in those who fail to follow the dress-code by wearing your short/skirt an inch too short. If you cuss, they will show horror on their face at the awful words you have said no matter what word it may be. As I mentioned before they strive for "perfection" within themselves and the world around them.

A few examples of people like this is Maurie (Everybody Loves Raymond) who often sweetly but rudily critizes others to "help" with their flaws despite her own flaws. The young Hermonie Granger (Harry Potter: Sorceror's Stone) who loves homework and followed the rules, and even correcting others on their mistakes. Percy Weasly (Harry Potter) who followed the rules of the Minestry so far he turned on his own father for disobeying the laws. That's just naming a few that I can remember off my head, but I'm sure there are plenty more somewhere.

I am not a goody-goody, and I see the term as an insult than a compliment. Yes, I am the most nicest, loyalisty, and great person you will meet but I'm not a goody-goody. I know I'm not perfect and I don't push others to be perfect. I make mistakes just like everyone else, and I never try to force my help on another. If you cuss in front of me, I don't care as long as you aren't cussing at me or my friends. If someone disobeys the rules, I don't care as long as it's not harming me nor my friends. My buisness is mine and your's is yours. I am a good person that will help anyone in need, but I am not a goody-goody. I don't strive for perfection, and those that do annoy me.
